From the menu bar at the top of your document find and click “Format.” From there, a drop-down menu will appear and click on the option labeled “Header & footers…”. You now have footnotes in your Google Doc. with an option to make it different on the first page only. By default, the headers and footers in Word are the same on each page. This would be done manually in most cases. Page breaks and horizontal lines create separationin the text and can increase readability. Once you click on “Header and footers…” a pop-up box will appear on the screen. Subscribe to keep your fingers on the tech pulse. Once you find “Header & page number,” hover your mouse over the button until a secondary menu appears. You often want something different on the left and right side of the document.
